Women On Mission

Thank you for your interest in Chapman Memorial's Women on Mission (WOM) group.

Our mission is to educate and involve women and children in the cause of Christian missions.  In addition, our responsibility is to equip women and children in carrying out the Great Commission.  We recognize each woman's spiritual gifts and accept the responsibility to help them use those gifts in serving Christ.  WOM also accepts the responsibility to respond to human need with actions modeled by Jesus Christ.  Each woman is encouraged to be active.

Our group meets the third Tuesday of each month from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Adult Assembly Room in the Education Building.  During this meeting we discuss our active and future missions along with having a bible study.

Currently our bible study includes the reading and studying the book "The Frazzled Female" written by Cindi Wood.  Do you feel like you are running here, there, doing this, that?  If so, this bible study is for you!  Cindi Wood, writer and speaker, teaches the "frazzled and strung out" how to creatively manage the stresses of life biblically.

Below is a sampling of the current missions.

  • Operation Christmas Child (supported by Samaritan's Purse & Franklin Graham)
  • Publish & sell 500 cookbooks with purpose of spreading the Gospel
  • Planning a Women's Conference
  • Visit elderly and widowed unable to attend church services
  • Implementing Kid's on Missions delivery of snacks to local hospitals
  • Visitation to local nursing homes

Chapman's WOM ladies welcome you.
