BIO:
John was born to Steve & Judy Thomas on October 18, 1970 in Nettie, WV. He gave his heart to Jesus Christ in 1979 at the age of 8. As a senior at Richwood High School, he surrendered his life to the ministry.
John graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College with a B.A. in Christian Studies and was ordained in 1992. In March 1993, he married his wife, Kim, and attended Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL from 1993-1997. He is currently seeking a M.A. in Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
John & Kim have three children: Shayne, Jacob & Abbey.

Drew Anderson

BIO:
Drew was born November 4, 1984 to William and Andrea Anderson in Perry, FL. He spent his childhood in Plant City, FL where he came to Christ. After moving to Alabama, Drew surrended to the ministry while attending Muscle shoals High School - where he graduated in 2003. Drew received his Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Georgia Southern University in 2007. After graduating, he spent two years serving as a local youth pastor in Millen, GA.
In June 2009, he married Sarah, and together they moved to Charlotte, NC in order for Drew to attend seminary. Currently Drew is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte.
Drew and Sarah have a puppy named Gracie.

Ken graduated from Gardner Webb University with a B.A. in Religion in 1983. Ken also married his wife Sherry in 1983. They have three children: Toby, Matthew and Mikaela.
Ken has been a member of Chapman Memorial for many years and is employed by Champion Industries.

Joe Abernathy

BIO:
Joe was born to Joel Lee and Carma Blaine Abernathy on May 25, 1944. His father was a charter member of Chapman.
Joe is retired from Jefferson-Pilot Communications Company, where he was Vice President of Information Technologies. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Electrical option, in 1970.
In September, 1979, he married Phyllis Kay Weaver Yow. Between Joe's children Scott and Kim, and Kay's children, Jimmy, Sharon and Dean, Joe and Kay have a total of 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
When not serving the Lord managing the Church's finances, Joe is usually riding one of his two Harley Davidsons, yakking on his ham radio (call sign AB4WF) , or building and flying RC model airplanes!

Sherry is a 1983 graduate of Gardner Webb University with a B.A. in Religious Education. She is married to our Worship Leader, Ken Gulledge. They have three children: Toby, Matthew and Mikaela.
Sherry grew up in Chapman Memorial. She is also employed by Northside Christian School.

Linda DuBose

BIO:
Linda was born in Chesterfield, SC and moved to Charlotte, NC in 1966. After accepting Jesus as her Savior in 1986, her heart's desire was to work for God. Linda has worked in several secular positions and has two daughters, Christie DuBose and Robin Hall and two beautiful grandsons.
Linda has been a member of Chapman Memorial for 19 years and became secretary in September of 2003. Linda loves people and has a servant's heart. She is always ready to listen to anyone and always offers kind, encouraging words.
Linda loves serving Chapman Memorial members and it's staff.
